Pick Up Sticks - Leather Set

As a very traditional game, pick up sticks is the perfect activity for all the family.  Once they've been dropped in a tangled pile on the dining table, the fun starts!

The rules? Easy! Use rock-scissors-paper to pick who starts.  Each player then takes their turn and using ONE HAND ONLY (littlies might be allowed two hands), tries to remove as many sticks from the pile without anything else moving - not even a tremor.  

The first player keeps going until that fateful moment, when an eagle-eyed watcher yells out "moved - I saw one move!".  Then the person to their left - and so on, until all the sticks are picked up.

The 48 sticks in each set have points: blacks are worth 50; pink 40; green 30 and yellow 20 points - count 'em up when every stick has been painstakingly picked up and let the winner puff out their chest and describe their incredible skill. 
Of course, a rematch goes without saying!  The game ends when the winner reaches 1,000 points.

I make two versions, each based on the standard 48 stick set - this version comes in a deluxe hand-stitched Italian leather case, complete with game instructions.  Measuring 33 cm by 7 cm, it houses a standard 48 stick set snugly.  It also comes as a double set option with 96 sticks for those bigger games!
